In March 1978, Tubex Manufacturing Limited opened their doors. Beginning with a 10,000 sq. ft. facility manufacturing pre-bent for the automotive aftermarket industry.

Bert Bigiel, founder of Tubex was wanting to start a manufacturing company. Having worked for both Midas Canada and Arvin Canada OE, he thought aftermarket pre-bent was the way to go. Bert met both John Auer and Stephen Forgacs at Arvin Canada OE, where they were employees. They decided to pool their knowledge together and form Tubex Manufacturing Limited.

Within a year of operation Tubex had increased their size to 16,000 sq. ft., and in 1983 moved the operation to Brampton, Ontario expanding to a 36,000 sq.ft. building.

In 1983 Joanne Smith, Certified Management Accountant joined and was promoted in l989, when Stephen Forgacs retired.

A milestone for Tubex was the purchase of their first Eagle computerized bender in 1993. This piece of equipment gave Tubex the flexibility of smaller runs and capability of producing more numbers. In 1983 they carried 250 numbers and in 1993 had grown to 500 numbers.

April, 1996, Bert Bigiel retired. John Auer and Joanne Smith joined their background in the industry by becoming co-owners of Tubex Manufacturing Limited. John's technical expertise and Joanne's financial background has made this a win win situation.

John and Joanne moved Tubex in June, 1997 to its present 77,800 sq.ft. facility. Both owners believe in keeping up with technology. Having purchased more computerized benders as well as their recent purchase of a Vector measuring device and their continuous upgrading of equipment to the lastest technology, has helped build Tubex to where it is today. Going from the 500 numbers in1993, they offer over 1000 numbers today. They are presently working on adding an additional 100 numbers. Tubex offers conventional bending and mandrel bending which is for the performance industry.

Tubex contributes its success to their customers and their employees. Welcoming calls from their customers, even, if only to chat, or to recommend which part numbers should be manufactured. It is this type of open communication which has helped Tubex with their decisions of their product line.

Tubex 's employees are felt to be the foundation by John and Joanne. Most of the employees who started with Tubex in 1978, and still there today.

John and Joanne's goal is to keep their customers satisfied and continue to grow in the industry. They look forward to any inquiries regarding their company.
